Health insurance feature
- A friend of mine is a new husband. He is 21 years old. And his wife
is 19 years old. They just married, and like soon they'll get baby. One
of their plan after marriage is to register insurance companies for their health.
They
go to insurance company office and are welcomed by the receptionist.
After waiting for some time, they meet the insurance officer
responsible. They then tell that insurance officer their problem and
intention.
The officer nods his head. He understands
their problem. Then he asks the couple whether the wife is pregnant or
not. Happily, they say yes.
Smilingly, the officer says
that with their condition, namely the wife is pregnant, they cannot get
any insurance they want. They can get homeowners or renters insurance.
They can also get auto insurance, dental insurance, and pet insurance.
But they won't be able to get life, health, or disability insurance. It
is, the officer says, because they are too young for long term care insurance.
Coming
back from the insurance office, they are very sad. It's because they
don't have a house, car, and pet. It means while they are pregnant they
won't get any kinds of insurance, except dental insurance, which they do
not really need.
Well, that's life...
